Download December 9, 2015The Chief Building Official duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
- The enforcement of the State of Michigan Building, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical Codes.
- The enforcement of the Muskegon Heights Property Maintenance Code and all other laws, ordinances and regulations pertaining to public health and safety.
- To adopt codes and ordinances as required by local and state.
The City of Muskegon Heights allows building permits/fees to be paid by credit card. To make a credit card payment, call the main Inspections number at (231) 733-8860. Please note that there is a 3% service fee charged for credit card usage.
