City Farmer’s Market Manager
Salary Range: $12.00 – $15.00 per hour
Employment Seasonal – May through October
10-20 hours per week
The City of Muskegon Heights is seeking an experienced, outgoing person to manage its Downtown Heights City Market. The person selected must be able to work with diverse backgrounds, possess strong leadership qualities, have clear and effective communication skills, as well as have a passion for helping others.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education – GED or higher, associates and up preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of computers required
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of Women, Infants and Children (WIC), Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) and Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) program operations
- Specialized knowledge in produce marketing, nutrition, program development or other applicable fields
- Leadership, fundraising, grants writing, problem solving, creative thinking, self-motivation, strong communicator and organizational skills
- Experience volunteering and engaging community
- Spanish speaking skills a plus but not required
