Industrial Park Strategy

This Industrial Park Plan is a collaborative planning project between the City of Muskegon Heights, Greater Muskegon Economic Development and the Planning Team of CIB Planning, Metro Consulting Associates and OHM Advisors. The result of this project will be an Industrial roadmap to assist with industrial development opportunities and marketing ideas to support attraction efforts for both new employers and developers. These actions can both strengthen and diversify industry within the city. As part of the planning process, the planning team met with city staff, and other key stakeholders with a direct interest in industrial development for the City of Muskegon Heights. Additionally, as part of the planning process, CIB Planning reviewed several policy documents for the city including the Master Plan and the Zoning Ordinance. A market tour was also conducted. This information will help guide the development of the overall strategy, as well as provide critical input on the future industrial vision for the city.
